Low-Code Ionic Mobile App Builder Inside OutSystems Platform
Oleg Danchenkov
To take this even further, integrating AI-driven capabilities into such a browser-based editor would be a massive leap forward. Imagine being able to build and iterate on your app using voice commands in tandem with drag-and-drop functionality. This would not only streamline the process but also make development more intuitive and accessible than ever.

The main challenge with hybrid app development is system setup and maintenance. To develop and publish an app, you need to install tools like Android Studio and Xcode, have access to a Mac, and often spend hours configuring the environment.
If OutSystems offered a solution where users could work entirely in the browser—building applications with drag-and-drop tools and generating APK or IPA files—it would be a game-changing feature.
I recall that Ionic once had a similar builder for Ionic 1, but it was never fully developed and eventually discontinued. That’s why I’d strongly encourage you to consider this idea.
